Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy specifies the actions prohibited by Employers One Source Group, Inc. (“E1”) to users of E1 host computers, network hubs, and points of presence (the “E1 Network”). E1 reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time, effective upon posting the modified Policy to this URL: http://www.eosg.com/legal
Illegal Use
You may only use the E1 Network for lawful purposes. Transmission, distribution, or storage of any material in violation of any applicable law or regulation is prohibited. This includes, without limitation, material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right used without proper authorization, and material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat or violates export control laws.
System and Network Security
Criminal and civil liability may result from violations of system or network security. E1 will investigate suspected violations, and E1 will cooperate with law enforcement regarding any criminal violations. Examples of system or network security violations include, without limitation, the following:
- Unauthorized access to or use of E1 data, systems, or networks, including any attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of an E1 system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without express authorization of E1.
- Unauthorized monitoring of E1 data, systems, traffic, or networks without express authorization of E1.
- Interference with service to any E1 user, host, or network, including, without limitation, mail bombing, flooding, deliberate attempts to overload an E1 system, and broadcast attacks.
- Forging any TCP-IP packet header or any part of the header information in an email or a newsgroup posting.
Sending unsolicited email messages, including, without limitation, commercial advertising, informational announcements, or any email that is not necessary to transact business between E1 and its clients, is explicitly prohibited. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL EMAIL MESSAGES BE SENT to E1’s domains and/or E1’s employees that contain pornographic material, that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates any applicable law or regulation. A user shall not use EOSG’s domains to relay mail without the express permission of EOSG. A user shall not harvest, copy, and/or distribute email addresses of E1 without the consent of the email addressee or E1.
INDIRECT OR ATTEMPTED VIOLATIONS OF THIS POLICY, AND ACTUAL OR ATTEMPTED VIOLATIONS BY A THIRD PARTY ON BEHALF OF AN E1 CUSTOMER OR A CUSTOMER’S END USER, SHALL BE CONSIDERED VIOLATIONS OF THE POLICY BY SUCH CUSTOMER OR END USER.
