A referral is considered successful when the referred business signs a Client Service Agreement and remains an active E1 client for at least 90 days following their first payroll.

Your reward will be issued 90 days after your referral’s first payroll, once they officially partner with E1. You can choose to receive the reward either as an administrative fee credit (for current clients) or as a check.

Yes, referrals may be denied for the following reasons:

  1. The referred company does not meet our minimum employee count requirement.
  2. The referral does not remain an E1 client for at least 90 days after their first payroll.
  3. Individuals with certain relationships to E1 may be ineligible to participate in the referral program.

Reward & Referrer Details

  1. E1 will pay to the referring party $50 per worksite employee that is paid on the first payroll run with E1.
  2. The maximum amount that will be paid per referral will be $7,500.
  3. Only US-based employees count towards the referral count.
  4. The referral money will be paid out 90 days after referred company’s 1st payroll date following the signing of the Client Service Agreement.
  5. E1 sales/marketing teams, those with existing referral relationships, broker partners, and household members of the previously mentioned groups, are ineligible for this program.
  6. The referrer must be an individual at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States.
  7. The referral (prospect) must have given the referrer (you) express written consent to provide their details to E1 and allow for E1 to contact them.
  8. The referrer (you) must have a personal relationship with the referral (prospect). In other words, the referrer (you) may not acquire referrals (prospects) through unsolicited communications. The referrer (you) may not submit referrals (prospects) based on email lists or other similar harvested consumer lists.
  9. E1 is not responsible for lost, misdirected, or delayed referral rewards.
  10. A referrer may not submit a referral on behalf of someone who is ineligible under the terms of this program. E1 reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant it deems ineligible. E1 also retains full discretion over its business decisions, including whether to accept a referral as a customer and under what terms.

Referred Company Details

  1. The referred company’s payroll must have at least 7 worksite employees on the first payroll.
  2. Only US-based companies, or companies with a legal presence in the United States are eligible to be referred to E1.
  3. The referral payment will be denied if the referral was already a client in the past 12 months or has been referred by another party.
  4. The referred company must still be a PEO client in good standing with E1 90 days after the first payroll with E1.
  5. Upon E1’s determination that the referrer may receive a reward, E1 will contact the participant to request a completed IRS Form W-9. If the participant does not respond to a request from E1 to complete a Form W-9 within 30 days of such request, E1 reserves the right to rescind the participants’ reward.
  6. Rewards under the referral program are subject to applicable federal, state, and/or local taxes. E1 will report earnings under this program to the extent required by applicable law. Rewards earned through this program may be subject to taxation and reflected on Form W-2 for E1 corporate employees and on IRS Form 1099 for all other participants.

Miscellaneous Items

  1. To the extent allowed by law, E1 may modify or terminate the Program or these Terms at any time and without prior notice. Any questions or disputes regarding program eligibility, reward qualification, or interpretation of these terms will be resolved solely at E1’s discretion.
  2. E1 reserves the right to void any rewards it believes were obtained fraudulently, in violation of applicable law or these terms, or in any way not consistent with the intended spirit of the program.
  3. E1 shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, or consequential damages—or any other type of damages—arising from or related to: (i) participation in the program; (ii) use of or inability to use the website or its materials; or (iii) any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies found on the site or in the materials. In all cases, E1’s total liability to any participant, employee, or other individual will not exceed the amount awarded to that person under the program, if any.
  4. The program and these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes or claims arising from participation in the program or related to these terms will be resolved exclusively through arbitration, held in Houston, TX. Arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the rules and procedures of either the American Arbitration Association or Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, Inc.
